    ***NOTE THE DELAYED START TIME IF LEAVING FROM BOSTON HARBOR***

    4:45AM START TIME, if you are departing from SCITUATE HARBOR, THE NORTH/SOUTH RIVER or GREEN HARBOR. You cannot leave the mouth of the river or harbor before 4:45am.

    5:15AM START TIME, if you are departing from a BOSTON HARBOR port including, Hull or Hingham. You cannot leave your Boston Harbor port before 5:15am.

    TOURNAMENT ENDS AT NOON. Lines must be out of the water at noon.

  • Boundaries

    East Boundary: All of Cape Cod Bay to Provincetown Golf Ball to the East.

    North Boundary: Nahant in Boston Harbor. Provincetown to Nahant forms and imaginary line.

    All rivers and inner harbor are in bounds.

    Cape Cod canal is out of bounds.

    Inshore Category: Minot Light to Green Harbor, within 2 miles offshore.

  • General Rules

    All captains and crew must be Norwell residents.

    All fish must be hooked during tournament hours. This INCLUDES live bait.

    You must procure your own live bait. You are not allowed to procure live bait from commercial fishermen.

    A maximum of THREE lines in the water at any point in the tournament, REGARDLESS OF YOUR CREW SIZE.

    Ensure you and your crew each have a valid MA saltwater fishing license. All fish must be caught in legal water. All state, federal, and local laws must be followed.

  • Measurements

    ~ All fish must be measured with the Rapala Tournament Ruler. Fish incorrectly measured will not be counted.

    ~ Ruler must be under the fish. Measure from the tip of the jaw/snout (mouth closed) to the farthest extremity of the tail. The jaw firmly contacts to zero mark on the ruler. And the upper and lower fork of the tail must be squeezed together to measure the tail.

    ~ Take a picture with a VISIBLE RAPALA RULER MEASUREMENT and text to Sarah McDonald at: 617-909-0094. Include the number of inches, rounded DOWN to the nearest 1/4” and your vessel name

    ~ All texts to Sarah should be from the same cellphone.

    ~ Only submit a single picture per fish.

    ~ Sarah will track number of fish and total length of inches for each vessel.

    ~ Last picture accepted at 12:05pm sharp. Out of cell range is not an excuse for missing the deadline.

  • Leader Board

    A leaderboard will be emailed or texted periodically throughout the tournament.

    The leaderboard should not be considered the official results. Official results will be determined after validating the photos post 12pm.

    Fourth Place: by length

    Special Prize: Shortest Fish

    Special Prize: Best Tournament Picture

    *tiebreaker goes to first photo submitted and organizers’ decision on disputes is final.
